Production Description

Casting "Man and Coconut" a workshop production of a new play with an emphasis on experimentation, creativity, and play. Synopsis: A man lives on a dangerous, desolate beach with his Coconut wife. Existing on the margins of civilization, both Man and Coconut experience excruciating physical and psychological pain. When Coconut rots, the Man is discovered and pulled back to civilization. A faceless office worker named Melissa, attracted to the Man’s raw agony, pushes both to the brink of disaster and deliverance.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals leading up to the residency begin Apr. 11 in NYC; runs in residency Apr. 29-May 4 at IRT Theater in NYC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Small stipend and two comp tickets for production provided. Producer plans to apply for the Equity NYC Showcase Code.
