Seeking participants for the Spring 2013 session of Ted Kociolek's Musical Theater Audition/Performance Technique Workshop. Instructor states: "Lacking confidence in your musical theater auditions? Uncertain of your approach to material? Choosing inappropriate repertoire for your type? Suffering from performance anxiety? Walk into your next audition prepared and confident. The course offers the singing actor the opportunity to: develop or refine performance skills; discover new repertoire or refresh the old; assemble a song portfolio tailored to the individual; and gain interpretive insights into material. The workshop emphasizes the selection, analysis, preparation, and presentation of song materials in a safe and supportive atmosphere of creative exploration, and provides students with practical techniques and guidelines that promote self-confidence and spontaneity, liberate the voice, and enhance the audition experience. Current/recent bookings by students include: 'Hands on a Hardbody' (Broadway), 'Evita' (Broadway), 'Mary Poppins' (national tour), and 'How to Succeed…' (Broadway). Please note that this is a class/workshop, not a production."
