Production Description

Casting "My Life Is a Musical." Synopsis: Parker is a shy accountant with a big secret: his life is a musical. He hears people sing when they speak, and often they break out into fully choreographed dance numbers, which no one sees or hears but him. When his firm assigns him to go on the road as a tour accountant for an up-and-coming band, his strange “condition” becomes an asset: he starts ghostwriting songs for singer-songwriter Zach, using the songs from his musical life. Zach and the band become a sensation. But when their manager, JT, starts falling for Zach because of the new music, Parker realizes he's fallen for JT. Soon they find themselves on a national stage, and Parker must choose whether to reveal the truth, or lose the woman he loves. Note: All performers should be comfortable with comedy, and both contemporary and classic musical-theater styles. The four ensemble actors play lots of different characters of all shapes, sizes and types, and must jump in with big choices and broad strokes.
