Casting a commercial for a contest for Nestle. The contest asks filmmakers to interpret the tagline "It all starts with Nescafe" and to tell stories "where Nescafe ignites possibilities, big and small, that lead to a bright future." Crew states: "We are a very small crew of three looking to learn and grow with actors. So we ask for your patience on set. We are all students who strive for quality and want the best possible outcome to help our actors grow and add another solid piece of work to their portfolios."
Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Shoots one day, in the morning from Aug. 15-17, at Angeles National Forest, CA. Talent may have to hike to certain areas. Crew states: "Since this is a national park, we are not familiar with most of the area so we ask for your patience as we find the shots we are looking for on the day of filming."
Compensation & Union Contract Details
Only pays if crew wins a monetary prize in the contest. The grand prize for the contest is $22,000. Talent will be paid on a contingency-based agreement. If crew wins one out of five other cash prizes, talent will still be paid. Talent will only be paid if one of the fives prizes is won. Crew states: "By applying for the role you are expected to agree with the above and following details. If contest is won, we will give the following number of hours of the money as payment: 1st prize: $20,000=$125/hr.; 2nd prize: $10,000=$100/hr.; 3rd prize: $5,000=$75/hr.; 4th prize: $3,350=$49/hr.; 5th: $3,350=$49/hr. "Note: These payments are contingent of our video winning any of these prizes. If our video submission does not place in any of the placings stated above, no payment will be given. We will not be responsible for any expenses if this project does not make any money. We will notify you if we place in any of the prizes by October 2014 as we will not know until this date. Full contract will be given upon request of actor."
