AUDITIONS: Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Ripley-Greer 520 - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Staged Reading/Performance to take place mid-May 2013 in Manhattan.

Seeking a diverse cast of men and women with fantastic singing voices and
dynamic personalities to play principal roles in an ensemble cast. Also seeking
one Female lyrical dancer (breakdown below).

Specifically looking for strong character actors and vocalists who have expressive voices
with passion, power and the ability to harmonize. Ensemble Cast; all characters remain
onstage for the entire performance.

ROLES:

MALE - 45-55 - Tenor / Bari-tenor
Upbeat, charming, charismatic, friend-to-all...
The show takes place in his establishment.

MALE - 20-25 - Tenor
Handsome, young, hardworking and eager to please.
His first day on the job. Is it love at first sight?

FEMALE - 20-25 - Mezzo-Soprano / Belt
Attractive, young, hardworking and also eager to please.
Her current boyfriend’s a no-good, two-timer...but timing is everything.

MALE 35-45 - Tenor / Bari-tenor
Writer. Musician. Renaissance Man. The fruits of his labor have
yet to be discovered. Sensitive and a bit of a loner, he is a keen
observer of the human condition.

FEMALE 35-45 - Mezzo-Soprano / Belt
Painter. Photographer. Artist. There isn’t anything she hasn’t done,
except find the right guy. “Downtown Hip” but she's a lonely, hard-luck,
sensitive, soul.

MALE 25-30 - Baritone
His country calls, but so does his fiancée. Their last night
together before he ships out, and he needs to reassure her
of his safe return...as well as his virtue.

FEMALE 25-30 - Mezzo-Soprano
She’s worried about her fiancée’s safety...and his heart.
Tonight, she needs to hear him say all the right things.

MALE 40-50 - Bari-tenor
Husband. Father. Breadwinner. Unlike his wife, he understands
that life moves on.

FEMALE 40-50, Mezzo-Soprano
Wife and Mother. Worried about filling the void of an
empty nest.

FEMALE 18 - Mezzo-Soprano
An only child to loving, caring, parents. But it's time
for her to spread her wings. She’s off to college.

FEMALE LYRICAL DANCER 25-30
Dream sequences. Represents young lover of first
Male character, above.

IrwinHahn@optonline.net. Kindly include your phone number as we will be calling to
schedule appointments for Tuesday, April 16th between 11AM and 3PM. Callbacks will
take place between 3PM and 5PM on the same day.

Prepare 16 bars of 2 contrasting songs. NO MUSICAL THEATER SONGS. Pop/Rock/Jazz/R&B are most appropriate. Bring headshot and resume stapled together to the audition.
