Production Description

Casting the 36th season of the New York Renaissance Faire. Season includes: "Queen Elizabeth’s Court"; "The Tales of Robin Hood"; "The Living Chess Games"; "Chit Chat with Do-Good and the Kat"; "Storybook Theatre"; "Trial and Punishment"; "Kidsquest"; "The Crown Madrigals"; "The Sirens of Sterling"; "Rascals & Rogues"; "The Greatest Pirate Story (N)ever Told!"; and other stage shows.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Weeknight rehearsals will be held in May, June & July for select performers. Saturday workshops will be held in June for all performers in NYC. Outdoor onsite rehearsals will be held weekends in June & July in Tuxedo, NY. Faire runs eight weekends (Sat. & Sun.) Aug. 3-Sept. 22 (17 perfs. total, including Labor Day Monday) in Tuxedo, NY. Commitment runs 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on performance days. Company members are required to commit to the run of the show.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Company consists of contract players and volunteers. There are a fixed number of contract players in the performance company. These performers are paid a daily rate for performance days. Rehearsal days are not paid. Volunteer compensation includes actor training workshops, preferred actor parking, onsite camping during performance weekends (18+ years of age only), a generous number of complimentary daily faire passes for family and friends, and the opportunity to perform live theater in a beautiful pastoral environment.
