Longer Synopsis

Michael, who is a nerdy, wimpy, teenage boy, forgets to set his alarm on the day of his English final. Before he gets to class, all of the pencils are already given out and the only seat left is the seat next to his worst enemy, the class bully. Once Michael arrives late, he has no choice but to sit next to the bully, and wait until somebody is done using their pencil. Michael sits and waits anxiously for somebody to finish their test, so he can hopefully get their pencil once they're done. The first person to be done with the the bully. Michael courageously asks the bully for a pencil. The bully reaches his arm out to give the pencil to him, then immediately breaks the pencil in half, and throws it in the trash can on the other side of the classroom.

Luckily, after that, the bully goes to the bathroom. This gives Michael the chance to sneak quietly towards the trashcan to try to get the broken pencil. Along the way to the trash can, Michael almost gets caught by his teacher, but she is too lazy to even notice, so she goes back to reading her magazine. Michael gets the pencil out of the trash can. However, after he goes back to his seat and starts taking the test, the bully comes back, sees Michael with the pencil, and starts to harass him. Michael tries to get the girl in front of him to tell the bully to stop, but the girl just rolls her eyes and goes back to taking her final. Michael is screwed by now.

Nobody has finished the test except for the bully, so Michael can't get another pencil. Unfortunately, the time is up, and the final is over. Everybody leaves the class, and Michael has barely even started the final. Michael is beyond pissed, and ends up having a slight mental breakdown. The obvious lesson Michael learns is to set your alarm the day before a final, because you never know what kind of bad luck can happen to you if you're late.
