Production Description

Seeking participants for A Class Act NY's five-day Broadway summer camps in New York City and Roslyn, Long Island. The two programs that will be offered are "Camp ACA" and "Broadway Boot Camp." "Camp ACA" is a one-week intensive in which participants take workshops with Broadway performers in areas such as musical theater audition technique, on-camera acting, dance, voice, intro to Shakespeare, stage combat, and makeup. When they are not in a workshop, campers will work with a Broadway actor/director on song and dance combinations that will be performed on the last day of camp for loved ones at an Off-Broadway theater. Campers will also be treated to a Broadway matinee and a talk back with the actors after the show. In "Broadway Boot Camp," participants will work with a Broadway actor/director on song and dance combinations from Broadway hits. On the last day of the camp, the kids will make their "Off-Broadway" debut for family and friends in a showcase at the studio.
