Production Description

Seeking a Front of House Manager for New York University's Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Responsibilities include: managing logistical aspects of front of house operations (including all general needs related to the lobby, seating area, and other public assembly areas, and supervision of front of house staff); developing, overseeing, and reconciling concessions and merchandise sales; collaborating with the Marketing Manager to monitor and update digital signage in lobby areas; and supervising and coordinating receptions with high profile guests.

Position is located in Greenwich Village NYC.

Position Requirements

Qualifications/Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in theater, arts administration or related field.

Required Experience: 3 years' related front of house of events' management experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience supervising/scheduling staff for large events or projects. NYC Fire Guard certification

Preferred Experience: Events planning experience. CPR certification.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently and make informed, on-the-spot decisions, and resolve conflicts. Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on production schedule.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act compliance issues. Computer skills and ability to troubleshoot ticket scanner issues.
