Role Description

Jason: (Lead) [JASON] male, 15-21, LEAD He is extremely personable, we have to like him from the minute he opens his mouth. However, as the show progresses, we find Jason has much more depth and seriousness than his early smile leads us to believe. Jason acts as the ''narrator,'' guiding both Monique and the audience on a journey through Monique's life, looking back at how she dies. His own sister was killed by a drunk-driver, which leads to very emotional monologue.

Production Description

Phantom Projects Theatre Group is casting Out, Out, Brief Candle at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. This motivational play deals with the potential consequences of drug and alcohol use among teens. The production will feature all-youth performers between the ages of 13-21. We are NOT seeking older actors to play younger. The performance will also feature a post-show discussion with the cast and the audience. Those cast in the production should feel comfortable discussing the topic with the audience after the show.

Performances are on May 16, 2013 at 10AM and 7PM. Please note: There WILL be rehearsal on Mothers Day.
