Role Description

Kip: (Lead) to play late 40's, a super successful British film director who lives lavishly in NYC. Critics have called his work showy and commercial, makes enough millions not to care but gets defensive, secretly wishing he was seen as more of an artist. He's always the center of attention, pontificating about his life, and takes his creative impulses very seriously. Was married once, has 8 year old twin boys, won't be winning any 'dad of the year' prizes. Doesn't recognize the grey-haired guy in the mirror and is scared of his own death. He looks back forlornly on his childhood, on strange and disturbing things that happened to him. Surrounds himself with a posse who work for him - sees his assistants like nice little pets. He really looks forward to decompressing at the end of the day, telling his assistants rambling stories about his past, his nightmares and ideas. He somewhat dreads the moment when the party is over and he has to go home and be alone. He doesn't give a shit about you.
