Role Description

Roland Maule: (Supporting) British, young character man, a struggling aspiring playwright with highly overblown ideas about his talent, personal appeal, and social skills, highly intelligent, but in that annoyingly precocious college kid way, too earnest by half, hides his nerves by assuming an air of gruff defiance, needs to be able to mine rather outrageous comedy from this part while remaining tethered to reality, must have an excellent British accent, the character may have to sing but it’s not a necessity.
