Production Description

Abt SRBI, a nationally known public opinion research organization, is seeking trained actors to work as Field Interviewers for a project sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The project will gather information from a random sample concerning public opinion on important national issues by cold call knocking at pre-determined addresses.

Interviewers will be paid for a nine-day training session in Washington DC with travel, airfare, hotel, and food provided, followed by an 8 week work period in your local area. Coordinator states: “This is an excellent opportunity to use communication skills to earn money on a paid, weekly basis, with flexible hours. There will also be the opportunity to work as an Interviewer on other projects.”

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Nine day training session (all expenses paid), May/early June, in Washington D.C., followed by eight weeks of work (20 hours/wk.) in your local area. There will be an opportunity to work a 26-week follow-up round collecting data.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays: $17/hr. minimum, paid weekly - travel time included in pay, but mileage reimbursed.
