Role Description
Danny Torrance: (Lead) DANNY TORRANCE: (LEAD) Seeking – Danny: Caucasian from 18 to early 20’s who looks young. We’re seeking an inspired male or female actor with superior comedic timing to do an interpretation of Danny Torrance in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. Danny has a high Tenor/Counter Tenor/Second Soprano singing voice. Danny also can dance, specifically tap dance. Our Danny is basically an adult pretending to be a kid so ability to improv is a must.
Production Description
Redrum: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Shining is a full length contemporary musical adaptation of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.
After initial casting we will be going into the studio to record a couple of the numbers prior to shooting video shorts of those numbers in a soundstage environment.
The ultimate goal is a stage performance of the entire show. We will be using the recordings and videos to raise awareness and further development of the entire production.
