Role Description
Jack Torrance: (Lead) JACK TORRANCE: (LEAD) Seeking – JACK: Caucasian male late 20’s to early 40’s. Basically, we’re looking for a special actor who can do a comedic interpretation of Jack Nicholson’s performance in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining while singing and dancing to our songs. Comedic timing is a must. Ability to improv helps. Those applying to this role must have a talented Baritone singing voice and be able to dance and move. You’ve seen The Shining and you know Jack.
Production Description
Redrum: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Shining is a full length contemporary musical adaptation of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.
After initial casting we will be going into the studio to record a couple of the numbers prior to shooting video shorts of those numbers in a soundstage environment.
The ultimate goal is a stage performance of the entire show. We will be using the recordings and videos to raise awareness and further development of the entire production.
