Production Description

Seeking female residential camp counselors who also teach for a premier residential film acting program. Also seeking male or female teachers who do not want to reside. Classes include acting for the camera, improv, dance, stage combat, stand-up comedy, voiceover, and movement and voice.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Interviews will be held on May 9 in Claremont, CA. Mandatory staff meeting July 7, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Camp runs July 1-13 and July 26-Aug. 5 (second session not mandatory).

Compensation & Union Contract Details

First session salary is $1100 (includes preplanning and meeting). Room and board included. This is a part-time, contract job. You do not need to book out with your rep company.

Job Description

Qualifications: Residential Lead Counselors-B.A. in Theater/Acting or related
*Teach an acting class
*Observes and promotes all rules and regulations established for camp and it's campers
*Supervises and escorts campers during camp activities
*Instructs and interacts with campers during all activities
*Escorts campers to mealtime, classes, recreation, and participates in supervision
*Monitors and ensures appropriate student behavior and adherence to dress code
*Assesses the appropriateness of campers' behavior and reports problems to Lead Camp Counselor
*Works closely, cooperatively and amicably with all staff members
*Notifies Lead Camp Counselor and/or Camp Director if he/she must be absent from or late for any reason
*Observes campers daily for illness and/or injuries.
*Reports all health‐related difficulties immediately to Lead Camp Counselor and/or Camp Director
*Reports to work and from scheduled breaks on time
*Seeks advice from Lead Camp Counselor and/or Camp Director when needed
*Communicates in a positive manner with reinforced feedback to participants and parents/guardians
*Performs other duties as assigned
