Production Description

Act-Out! Acting School announces auditions and registration for its Fifth Annual Youth Summer Camp and world-premiere performance of "Robin Hood." For two weeks Artistic Director John Stillwaggon (veteran of many Off-Broadway productions and national tours, TV, and film; with fifteen years teaching experience; a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education; and an M.F.A. in Acting) teaches students ages 3-18 physical and vocal preparation, improvisation, action/obstacle analysis, character and script analysis, while putting their new skills to work in rehearsals and preparation for a full-scale production. Artistic director states: "Besides growing as actors, students learn to set productive goals, resolve conflicts, work as a team, and believe in themselves. Excellent productions are performed, and lifelong friendships are made."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Camp meets Aug. 11-22 (Mon.-Fri., 10 a.m.-2 p.m.); performs Aug. 22 (7 p.m.) and Aug. 23 (5 p.m.) in Brooklyn, NY.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

No pay. Camp tuition is $300 per student, and $200 for each additional student in the same family (two-for-$500; three-for-$700, etc.).
