Production Description

Casting “Rumi’s Rumba” a dark comedy for the New York Film Academy featuring one choreographed song & dance number to be performed by the male and female leads. Director's synopsis: "Set in a college classroom (or amphitheater) and offices, a distinguished poetry professor lectures his freshman students on a poem by the poet Rumi. When class ends, one of his female students approaches him to ask a question about the poem, which leads into the musical number. In the next scene, the department dean asks his administrative assistant to bring documents to the professor’s office for the professor to sign. What follows is an unexpected turn of events for both the characters and the audience!"

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearses between Mar. 5 and May 13; shoots May 13-17 in NY.
