Role Description

Luis: (Lead) born on Aug. 9, 1977 in Oaxaca, Mexico. Being an only child and born to parents well below the poverty line, he was forced to find food by any means necessary and available. He killed his first man at the age of 7 after he was caught stealing fruit. This is when he realized he could take anything he wanted by force, and that’s what he did for the for the rest of his life. At the age of 9, his reputation for violence was noticed by the Gulf Cartels, who looked for children with a violent past to get close to their enemies unnoticed and murder them. His willingness to commit extreme acts of gruesome violence at a young age allowed him to progress through the ranks of the Gulf Cartel faster than anyone expected. In 1990, before his brother was born and his mom was 7 months pregnant, his parents decided to move to the US. They did this in with hopes of at least providing their child with a place where he could have a chance at something more than what they could provide in Mexico. Luis refused to go until the Cartel Leader told him to go to the US and start another sector of distribution, and because with the use of the violent tactics used by the cartels, no one would be willing to stand against them. He is now the leader of the 3rd Street Psychos. Murdered at the age of 29.

Diego finds Enzo’s journal and begins to read it, flipping excitedly from one page to the next.

Enzo finishes his drink.

He gets up and gets another one from the other room, walking by Diego.

Hey, what is this? Your journal?

Enzo lunges and snatches it, almost knocking Diego over
Give me that!
Enzo cradles the book, shielding it from the real world.
Wait! I need to -

NO! This isn’t just a book. This is
my life and everything that’s ever

Please! People like us can learn
from you!

I can’t. Drop it Diego! This is
bigger than you!

Enzo, you don’t understand what
this book could do for me, what you
could do for me.

Diego waves his arms, motioning towards the streets and back
to Enzo.
You can help me escape all this! My
brother! These streets!

Drop it Diego! You don’t understand what could happen!
I know there’s more out there. Why
will no one tell me how I get

Look who you brother is. That’s

I hear the stories about you and
the things you’ve done, but I can
see who you really are Enzo.

Enzo begins to get very close to Diego.

Why do you stay here! Why does
anyone want to live this life!

You tell me kid! Whats easier?
Working a nine to five for bullshit
pay, or robbing someone that’s
packing a few thousand and a pound
or two of dope?

Enzo steps towards Diego, almost in his face. Diego steps back.

When you come from this place, you
have the world against you.

Enzo takes another step forward again in Diego’s face.

Diego steps back again.

Some people find ways to make sure
they don’t lose their life and take what they don’t have. Some people run, run and never look back.
Diego trips backwards onto a couch. Enzo is towering over him, ready to pounce.

That’s the only way to escape this place. You see what I chose. What are you going to do?
