Production Description

Casting "Sacrificing Simone." Synopsis: "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and in this case, lose his first born. In 'Sacrificing Simone,' Lincoln and Natalie Turner have it all, a mini-mansion, a burgeoning law practice, and three healthy beautiful children. Their accomplishments are a combination of education, hard work, and to their shame and embarrassment, the sacrifice of their daughter, Simone. As struggling, young African-American college students, Lincoln and Natalie's plans are derailed when Natalie discovers she's with child. Desperate to live a life of wealth and prestige, the couple does the unthinkable. Fast forward three decades and the emotional and spiritual ramifications of their decision continue to haunt them. In a twist of fate, their secret is revealed resulting in the unraveling of a web of deceit and denial."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin Sept. 2 (three times/wk.) at FAME Church; performs Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m. at Portico Art Spaces in Pasadena, CA.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

No pay, but meals.

[BRADLEY TURNER] The Turner’s oldest son. Mid-20s, spiritual, marches to his own beat, passion for helping at-risk children.
[MELISSA TURNER] The Turner’s oldest daughter. Late teens, spoiled.
[ANGELICA TURNER] The Turner’s youngest child. Early teens, self-centered.
[MINNIE TURNER] Link’s older sister. Late-40s, down to earth, religious, country.
