Production Description
Shakespeare by the Sea is casting its 2013 summer season, to include "King John" which explores the question of legitimacy, treachery, and power transfer in 12th-century England (perf. June 13-Aug. 11; Stephanie Coltrin, dir.), and "All's Well That Ends Well" (perf. June 6-Aug. 11, Patrick Vest, dir.), a comedy about a young orphan trying to find a way to marry her true love who happens to be a nobleman, and also happens to not really like her. Producer states: "At Shakespeare by the Sea, everybody pitches in to get the job done. It s truly a unique experience for those who get involved. Our performance venues are charming, the atmosphere we create is truly magical and our audiences are enthusiastic. We are non-Equity. Teamwork is mandatory. Shakespeare by the Sea is a hands-on production. Actors are also crewmembers; they set up and breakdown the set each night. Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Rehearsals begin Apr. 28 at the Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro; runs at various locales throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, and Point Fermin Park in San Pedro.
Compensation & Union Contract Details
Pays: $800 tips/season (average).
