Female, ages 16-20, Caucasian

Role Description

Halie: (Lead) was born with an extremely rare (and fictional) condition wherein her bones out grow her body and break through the skin as quartz-like minerals; this causes her extreme physical pain and discomfort, and has stunted her emotional and social abilities; severely withdraws around most people, with the exception of her older sister, Tara, who serves as her mother figure, nurse, caretaker, best friend, and entire social life, which causes a very confusing relationship dynamic. Casting personnel state: "We are looking for a young actress who can play a 16- or 17-year-old, handle the emotional range, and who is comfortable working in an improv type environment."
