Shades Synopsis

At a young age, Miguel was taught that it’s wrong to be gay. This sentiment was reinforced when his father, gunned down by gang members, tells his son to grow up and be a man.

By the time Miguel is in high school, his repressed sexual desires toward men cause him to continually taunt and hate homosexuals.

When a simple gift from his second-base girlfriend gives Miguel the ability to distinguish gay from straight, his worst fears about himself are confirmed. This leads him on a violent rampage where he threatens the life of a young and innocent gay teenager who sees Miguel for who he really is.

Miguel is then set off on a twisted course of self-acceptance when he meets Jason, a man for whom he can no longer repress his hidden feelings.
Comedic tragedy strikes when Miguel’s friend Juan initiates Operation Dorothy, a violent plan to steal money from what Juan labels as easy targets —sissy gay boys.
