Production Description

Casting Shakespeare in the Parking Lot. Season includes: "Cymbeline" (Hamilton Clancy, dir. Runs July 11-27, Thu.-Sun. at 8 p.m.) and "Richard III" (runs Aug. 1-17, Thu.-Sat. at 8 p.m.).

Producer states: "Shakespeare in the Parking Lot is a summer New York institution that performs free Shakespeare productions in a municipal parking lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Over the years, there have been over 50 productions of Shakespeare's plays for over 40,000 patrons. The productions are typically intrepid, bare-boned and often gloriously ingenious adaptations of the classics. We are an equal opportunity company."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Three weeks of rehearsal on the Upper West Side will be held prior to performances, which take place take place at the Municipal Parking lot on the Lower East Side on the corner of Ludlow and Broom sts.
