Production Description

Casting a "sea cycle" double feature "Sirens" and "The Girl from Bare Cove." "Sirens" is an original circus symphony, based on Hans Christian Anderson's "The Little Mermaid," Oscar Wilde's "The Fisherman and His Soul," and various sirens mythos. Set in the waters of Gravesend Bay, the freak show at Coney Island, and the liminal space between. "The Girl from Bare Cove" is an original folk opera about a small family in crisis facing the near-loss of one of their own. With songs inspired by the folk sounds of the New England coast, "Bare Cove" explores the communities we share and the worlds we build for ourselves.
