Casting "Song from a Blackbird," a short film part of the New York Film Academy (NYFA) Thesis Program in LA. Synopsis: Through a mysterious conversation with a therapist, we get to know Franz, a diffident musician who feels disconnected from his lonely mother, Carla. As Franz talks to a therapist, we enter Franz’s mind, a puzzle of fantasies and fears, and we meet Raul, a soulful old Cuban musician who tempts Franz to play a song in the street. His conversation with Raul paves the way to fix his relationship with his mother and a step forward in overcoming his insecurity. But what’s real and what’s part of Franz’s imagination?

About the Director
Enrique is a filmmaker living in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the International Baccalaureate (IB) with emphasis on Film Studies and English Literature and then completed a BFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy.
