Production Description

Casting R.N. Sandberg's audience participation play where children are taught Safety Rules that include: Say No Like You Mean It, Get Away to A Safe Place, and Tell Someone Until You Get the Help You Need. An emergency drill reinforces the rules by getting the children/audience on their feet and repeating the rules with rhythmic chanting, rhymes, and hand-clapping. The program concludes with an actor-led workshop.

Open Door is an educational nonprofit founded in 1983, uses theater as a vehicle to teach children important skills to help them understand the differences between healthy & unhealthy touches and behaviors in a safe and interactive environment.
