Here's Looking At You Productions
Jonathan Schwartz, dir.

Production Description

Casting for the 48 Hour Film Festival. Director states: "An L.A. based team is seeking a cast that is comfortable with improvisation as a key way to tell a story. The concept is that from 7 p.m. on Aug. 1 until 7 p.m. on Aug. 3, we must write, shoot, and edit a four-seven minute short film. At the kick-off event, a random genre will be chosen, and we will be assigned a character and a line of dialogue. Genres have included everything from Western to Musical, so variety of talent is good. Key creative personnel are industry professionals and will guide the story over the weekend based on the genre we are given combined with our writer/cast input, using structured improvisation to help guide the story thus avoiding having to write a full script. The film will be screened at LA Live for the public, festival participants and local media/agents, Film Festival's website, company website, and creative team's personal websites. "

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Meetings will be held in July; shoots Aug. 1-2; screening at the end of Aug. Note: Cast should be open to the possibility of pick-ups on Aug. 3.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Travel and meals are provided. Director states: "The film is governed by the SAG Short Film Agreement and SAG Internet rider with deferred compensation for SAG actors. The festival has a built-in SAG waiver. While the position is unpaid; the roles may lead to future work with the creative team as a feature film is planned for the fall. Cast should be dynamic and willing to work on the fly."
