Role Description

Teaching Artist: (Supporting) The successful candidate will have extensive professional experience in the theater and will bring skills that supplement those of the current faculty. We are especially interested in applicants with one or more of the following areas of expertise: classical acting, movement, musical theatre, or stage combat. A terminal degree is preferred. Responsibilities include: performing in University of Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre productions, teaching all levels of undergraduate acting, serving as coach or adviser for faculty and student productions, and providing mentorship for students in the department. Teaching Artists-in-Residence are expected to attend faculty meetings, serve on committees, interact with the off-campus community, and participate fully in the administrative duties of the Theatre Arts Department.
