Production Description

The Actor's Project NYC (TAPNYC), a company that assists its members in landing agents and getting work through industry showcases and plays, is casting five full-length theatrical showcases of music, scenes, monologues, and sketch comedy, all original works by company writers, as a part of its 28th season ("As You Love Laugh & Cry," "The Funny Couple," "Who's Afraid of Romance," "The Importance of Being Theatrical," and "Manhattan Fable - The Actress Who Cried Wolfe." Producer states: "All shows are attended by agents. Past productions have been attended by producers (Broadway, Off-Broadway & off-off-Broadway, film, and TV), agents (commercial and legit), managers, and casting directors."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearses and performs Fall/Winter 2013 in NYC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Membership dues are $375/season and include agent/manager coaching, résumé workshops, self-branding workshops, and entry into The Acting-Career Seminar 2013, where company members meet with a commercial agent, a legit agent, and a talent manager. Director notes: "Possible pay provided; actors cast in company plays share a percent of the profits (you must be an accepted member to participate)."
