Production Description

Casting "The Afflicted," a contemporary exploration of the accusing girls behind the Salem witch trials. Producer states: "Not quite history, yet not completely fantasy, this piece of theater examines the internal psychology of confinement, fear, hysteria, female oppression, and religious extremism. We are searching for theater artists who want to go on a journey with us, explore with us, and perform with us. We have already cast the majority of the ensemble, and are only looking for male actors at the moment."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin immediately (Tue., Thu. & Sun., 6-10 p.m. and Sat., 10 a.m.-2/3 p.m.) in NYC; performs June 7-16 at the Access Theater's Gallery in NYC & July 16-21 at the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Producer's salary note: "As of right now, there is no pay for this project, however, depending on our fundraising efforts, there may be a small stipend for artists who come with us to Washington, DC for Capital Fringe. The Wandering Theatre Company will be providing transportation for all artists to and from Washington, DC, and housing will be provided for all artists participating with us at Capital Fringe."
