Imani Tolliver, Cultural and Fine Arts Supervisor.

Production Description

Seeking creative staff for the City of Buena Park's fall production of Roger Bean's "The Andrews Brothers." A USO show is threatened with cancellation when a certain famous trio of singing sisters fails to show, and it’s up to three earnest and determined stagehands to go on with the show! The show is filled to the brim with over 25 songs made famous by the Andrews Sisters, including the showstoppers "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Slow Boat to China," "Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree," and "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive." Mistaken identities and madcap adventures (imagine Bing Crosby and Bob Hope in a road movie of "Some Like It Hot"), along with the music of an entire generation, highlight this wonderful valentine to the heroes of World War II.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin June 1 (weekday evenings and Saturdays); tech begins late July 2013; runs Aug. 9-31 (Friday and Saturday evenings) at the Walter D. Ehlers Community Recreation Center, 8150 Knott Ave. in Buena Park, CA.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

All positions are paid and independently contracted through the city of Buena Park; compensation based on experience.
