When we met, you told me that your
reason for living was revenge. But
you do what many would call the
impossible, son. No man has ever
seen a human killing a sorcerer
before. This is not the strength of
a man living only for revenge.

He was hardly a sorcerer. Just one
of Devourer’s dogs.

You saved lives, son.

I did it for a price. Information.
Where is he?

A thick black cloud was sighted
months ago by villagers up north.
It had the shape of a dragon. Its
made its way towards the mountains.
Nomad tips his hat to the Old Man, and starts to walk away.
He pauses and turns his head.

You are right Old Man. No one faces
a sorcerer and lives. The boy I was
never made it out that night.
What’s left in his shell is this...
Something that needs to kill to
stay alive... Like the Devourer.

I don’t know about any of that,
son. All I know is that I’m certain
that I’ll get to grow old with my
wife and see my children live their

Nomad turns his head forwards. He takes a moment. He turns
his head towards the Old Man again, and formally tips his
hat this time.

Pleasant life to you wise one.

Nomad leaves the camp and starts walking North towards where
the perilous mountains lie.
