Taken straight out of national headlines, this is also a theatrical exploration of the issue of same-sex marriage and its impact on individuals, families and society. "The Engagement" tells the story of Faith and Déjà who have been in a relationship for eight months and have decided to get married. But their fanfare wedding won’t take place without a hitch, including interfering friends, siblings, and lovers.
