Production Description

Casting "The Forgetting Curve" by Vanda.
Through the memory of his (fictional) doctor, Laura Nebbens, 'The Forgetting Curve' explores the true story of Patient HM (based on history and research), who in his teenage years had his hippocampus removed, during a surgery that was scheduled to be a lobotomy as a treatment for his epilepsy, and as a result, lost the ability to form new memories. Moving back and forth in time through the 1950s, 1970s, and present day (similarly in style of the movie 'Memento'), how Patient HM and Dr. Nebbens lives were affected by the surgery and following research, unfolds. The following universal questions are addressed: If we are a product of our experiences, and our experiences are processed by our memories, who are we when we lose our memory? For what do we want to be remembered? What will be the legacy we leave?
