Role Description

Rosalina Grimaldi: (Supporting) (Ghost) Sultry, wild and mysterious, Madam Rosalina Grimaldi was perhaps one of the most famous mystics of her time. Raised in a traveling Gypsy caravan, beautiful young Rosalina got a lot of attention with her alluring dances and captivating songs. But it was her skills as a fortune teller that propelled her into many of the noble houses of Eastern Europe. In 1916 a band of religious zealots came for Rosalina, accusing her of witchcraft, and chasing her off a cliff. In death, Rosalina is sultry and passionate, if somewhat melodramatic. She still loves to sing and dance to Gypsy music. While more likely these days to admit that MUCH of what she does as a fortune teller is for show, Rosalina insists she truly has “the sight," and loves to tell people their fortunes. Suspicious of strangers, she warms quickly to people who are friendly to her. Requires: Singing, Dancing (Jazz, Other). Will be expected to create a Solo “Gypsy” performance piece featuring belly dance, tango or some other exotic dance style. Other skills, fire eating, knife throwing, etc. also a plus.
