Production Description

Casting "The Height of Life," an MFA thesis project for Columbia University. Synopsis: "Jean Paul receives devastating news that reminds him of the consequences of his past actions. He reaches the point where he wants to settle down, but fears he won't be able to find someone who will accept him as he is. When he does, he's frightened by the fact that Laura, the woman who captures his interest, also comes with a story that impacts her present day life. Together, they realize it's their future together that defines them, not their past."



Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Shoots March 28-31 in NYC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays on a lo/no/deferred basis. Accommodation, meals, and transportation provided. Producers plan to apply for a SAG-AFTRA New Media Agreement.

Director's Statement

This film portrays a story about love, betrayal, anger, and anger management. "It is both fun and difficult to do on screen, as it is the daily human process, but at the same time I believe we can push or break the limit of cinema."

Gilbert Ndahayo is an African Movie Academy Award® nominated independent filmmaker based in NYC, who mixes documentary and narrative genres. He is two-times winner of Best Documentary Feature at SVAFF (2011, 2013). His films have been shown around the world and aired on stations like TV 5.
