Production Description

Casting AEA and non-AEA actors for "The HVAC Plays (Or, Adventures in Living Without Basic Necessities, Like Heat and Air Conditioning)" as part of FringeNYC. Synopsis: "The HVAC Plays" tells the story of six desperate tenants in one building with nary an air conditioner to be found. Through three separate vignettes, we see how the extremes of hot and cold control us, boiling our blood and turning us against the people we love--or turning us towards the people we want. The play is split into two halves--first, The A/C Plays; second, The Heater Plays. The story could take place in any city, but most of all it’s an ode to the struggles and triumphs of life in a New York City apartment.

Rehearsals begin July 6; runs Aug. 8-24 (five performances, dates TBD) in NYC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays: $350 total AEA actor stipend. Equity Showcase-NY/NY Fringe code.
