Casting two plays for Ego Po's yearlong season of Henrik Ibsen works, including "The Lady from the Sea," Ibsen's late career masterpiece of symbolic realism and "Gint," Romulus Linney's adaptation of "Peer Gynt."
Project Description: "In 'The Lady from the Sea,' a wife struggles with a pledge she made to a sailor, whom she has not seen for years, and her commitment to a husband whom she respects and his daughters who need her to replace their mother who has died." "Gint" is an adaptation of Ibsen's early verse epic, adapted from a popular Norwegian folktale."
