Production Description

Casting the Amazon Studios TV pilot "The Man in the High Castle," based on the 1962 award-winning novel by Philip K. Dick. Project description: "The year is 1962, seventeen years after World War II ended. But the Allies lost. The Nazis developed a hydrogen bomb before the Americans and used it to flatten Washington, D.C. Since then, the Eastern half of the country has lived under Nazi rule, while the West Coast is controlled by Imperial Japan and the Rocky Mountains are a lawless 'neutral zone' separating the two great fascist powers."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Shooting mid-September through mid-October, in Seattle, WA.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pay is $9.32/hr., with an 8 hour guarantee (most background extras work 10-12+ hours on set). Additional 10% agency fee for Asian Americans only with a talent agent. SAG-AFTRA members are allowed to work as background extras, but are paid at the non-union rate. This does not count towards SAG-AFTRA membership for non-union actors. SAG-AFTRA contract.
