Production Description

Audacity Innovative (www.audacityinnovative.com) is currently casting for its upcoming 25 minute short-film “The Promise of Living” directed by Cristhian Andrews. The film is a fictional story based on true life events and will explore the love between a mother and her 3 year old son and the unexpected turn their lives take in light of the Gezi Park protests and police brutality in Turkey. The film will be shot in Istanbul, Turkey & New York/New Jersey in November 2013 (the weekend of November 15-17) and will be produced as a Turkish movie with English sub-titles. We are currently looking for featured background actors that are essential for this movie. EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS PRODUCTION WILL RECEIVE AN IMDB CREDIT! SAG AND NON-SAG ACTORS WELCOME TO APPLY. Each actor will be expected to be on set for one day only for a total of 4-5 hours.
With the production of this film we aim to raise awareness about the recent widespread police brutality and human rights violations that took place in various cities of Turkey in association with the Gezi Park protests. Although our film focuses specifically on Turkey, it sets a reminder for international audiences that all governments have the responsibility to protect their citizens’ rights to life and security. Once finalized, the film will be submitted to approximately 20-30 international film festivals.
