Production Description

Casting "The Sole Journey." This story is about a look into the dehumanization and alienation of an individual by himself and his redemption by finding artistic expression. Terry Worth, (26) has personal self-destructive shame ruling his life, His self-esteem and alienation of the people closest to him are only few damaging aspects of the notions that rule his life. By finding his inner power with the help of an odd shaman mentor he finds self-worth and learns to love himself through artistic expression.
Terry is character which I have based on myself and personal struggles I have been dealing with during my short life. The feeling of alienation and isolation are congruent with many of my experiences throughout it and I wanted to portray how I learned to deal with the self-destructing emotions that were the cause. Overcoming these and then trying to live with them. I tried to show this in the larger view of the film in a condensed manner through a climax epiphany moment where the character realizes he must love himself for others to then love him.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

This film will be produced between the dates of 4/28 - 5/3 In NY and Brooklyn. The week before the first day of shooting will take up most of the rehearsals however availability 2 weeks before is optimal and would give a better performance.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

I am very emotionally involved in this project and I am looking for people who have similar experiences and connect with the film. I have no money in my budget to give, however due credit will be given and reel footage is of course available.
