Production Description

Casting a short, "The Translator," in which an unhappily married high school French teacher gets a freelance translating gig at a private residence. When she shows up for the job, she finds two men, one American and one French, seated stoically at an elaborately set dinner table. There's tension in the air. She soon learns the American is married to the Frenchman's sister. He was visiting from France when she was suddenly killed in a car accident two days earlier. The translator must now help these angry, broken men plan the logistics of her funeral. This uncomfortable position forces her to address the problems with her own marriage which culminates in a powerful and violent emotional climax.
