Full Character Breakdown

[TOBY] Male, 22- 28. A tutor by day, social media website creator by night. Extremely intelligent, kind, shy; the kind of guy who was probably overlooked in high school because he kept mostly to himself. Gay and comfortable with his sexuality, but not one to talk a lot about it. Not always comfortable in his own body, but has learned how to dress and otherwise comport himself to seem employable and together. To TOBY, structure and rules equal success.

[JOE] Male, 22 – 28. One of TOBY's roommates; a fellow tutor and co-creator of joinme2u. Confident, likeable, good-looking, funny; the kind of guy whose presence changes the energy of a room when he walks in. A seducer and operator (sometimes aggressively so), JOE is not afraid to use what it takes to get what he wants; does love his friends and would walk miles for them.

[HEIDI] Female, 22 – 28. The third roommate and tutor. Smart, funny, sarcastic. Manages all operations for joinme2u; has been spending her days alone in the apartment working, eating, not sleeping and possibly getting depressed. Can seem like a flighty space cadet, but is actually grounded and assertive on her best days. Attractive, be it pretty but disheveled leading lady or pretty, funny character type. The kid of girl who used to make wearing sweatpants three days in a row look cool -- now she just looks like a mess.

[MILO] Male, 17-18. The tutoree; a senior at a top NYC prep school. A product of his environment and the world in which he was raised; while funny and likeable he is also a teen operator , an entitled know-it all, a smart-ass who was given too much too soon and thinks he can do and get away with anything . "If you don't do what I want, I'll have my Dad …" Like most teens, though, he longs for real friendship and honestly, and we care deeply about what happens to him.

[KWAN] 30. Chinese. Actor plays two versions of KWAN: one, a successful man from Hong Kong (has an accent) who comes to America to attend Columbia business school and two, HEIDI's empathetic, kind, compassionate and romantic dream version.
