Role Description

Leontes/Autolycus: one actor will double as Leontes and Autolycus; Leontes is the King of Sicilia, tortured by the idea that his wife is having an affair, jealous, paranoid, manipulative, and eventually heartbroken and vulnerable; Autolycus is a wandering and roguish pickpocket, a rascal and an impersonator; actor must have tremendous range to play the comic and tragic qualities in this doubling, as well as great skills with language, must also have a very strong singing voice.
