Production Description

TimeLine Theatre Company is casting its 2014-15 season. Shows include: "Danny Casolaro Died For You" (Dominic Orl, writer. Rehearsals begin Aug. 18; previews begin Sept. 23; runs Oct. 3-Dec. 21); "My Name Is Asher Lev" (Aaron Posner, writer; Kimberly Senior, dir. Rehearsals begin July 22; previews begin Aug. 23; runs Aug. 28-Oct. 18); and "Inana" (Michele Lowe, writer. Rehearsals begin March 30, 2015; previews begin May 6, 2015; runs May 15-July 26, 2015).

Season runs Aug. 2014-July 2015 in Chicago, IL.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays: $270 min./wk. Equity Category 2 Contract.

Danny: Male, age 44. Italian (Could be played by any ethnicity.) Stubborn, impulsive, and brave.
Tommy: Male, mid to late 30s. Italian (Could be played by any ethnicity.) Tough guy. Jaded.
Riconosciuto: Male (Any ethnicity), 30s to 40s. A guy banking on "age of the geek," a little too much.
Nicols: Male (Any ethnicity), 30s to 40s. He's what goes bump in the night.

Aryeh Lev: Male, 40s-50s. A devout Hasidic Jew and Asher's father. A man struggling with his family.

Yasin Shalid: Male, late 30s, Iraqi. Passionate about art to a fault.
Shali Shalid: Female, 32, Iraqi. Intense and strong. Will also double as Hama, Yasin's first wife, bright and "too beautiful.”
Emad Al-Bayit: Male, 50s, Iraqi. An art forger with an odd sense of the world.
Mohammed Zara: Male, late 20s, Iraqi. A young, passionate, upstart. Will double as Messenger.
Abdel-Hakim Taliq: Male, 30s to 40s, Iraqi. A rare book dealer who's willing to be tortured for his collection.
Mena: Female, late 20s, Iraqi. Shali's younger sister. Cannot read.
