Production Description

Casting "What Happens To A Dream Deferred? Does It Dry Up Like A "Raisin in the Sun"?" Director states: "A short experimental film, partly based on the screenplay of "Raisin in the Sun." This will be an excerpt of a scene which didn't make the film between Lena Younger (elderly, heavy set African American woman in her 60s) and Mrs. Hamilton (young wife and mother, white woman, in her late twenties). I'm looking for these two women to star in a two-hander monologue heavy, in a one location scene. The themes of the short are the same as the play, racial discrimination in Chicago in the 60s. But this particular scene deals with the sexism experienced by both black and white women, and how their stories, life stories, are similar in that sense. A very nuanced scene thick with subtext and room for interpretation."
