Casting "Wichita" - a feature-film Western
Genre: Western, Drama, Film-Noir

Set in 1882, a mysterious fugitive seeks out his revenge on the person who landed him in prison. His tracking skills lead him to the quiet, peaceful town of Wichita, KS. Otherwise referred to as The Cowtown, Wichita as a community is well aware of it’s own rapid growth and is beginning the ascent from small farm village to a cross-cultural industrial metropolitan.

Jesse, a nomadic drifter, takes up residence at a farmstead on the outskirts of the city and quickly develops relationships with the widow Ruth and the sisters Samantha and Mary. What first appears like a colloquial family-upbringing unravels an underground crime syndicate living under the guise of the local business community. While Jesse seeks to confront some of the townspeople, a bounty hunter is employed to track the whereabouts of the mysterious man in black. As the backstory of each character unfolds, a web of circumstance leading to each story leads to Jesse, the mysterious fugitive, the townspeople, and the bounty hunter all finding out there’s far more than meets the eye in this sleepy Cowtown.

This cat-mouse-cat noir will keep everyone guessing until the last scene on who’s really who they say they are.

Please Read Prior to Applying

We sincerely appreciate everyone's interest in our Independent Film. A few things to be aware of, prior to applying.

First, we are looking for applicants with Film Credits, not theatre, not musicals. If your reel is not part of a film or television production, we will pass on your application.

Second, this is a NON-UNION production. So if that's an issue for you in applying for this production, please do not apply.

Third, our female lead does have one nude scene. It's definitely not sexual, but if this is something you cannot handle as an actress, please do not apply.

Fourth, at this time we are ONLY casting Caucasian roles between 18 and 30. If you do not fit this demographic, please do not apply.

Finally, this is a period piece. So if you have any work specific to making a period film, please bring this to our attention in your application.
