Winters was Dennis Duffy before he ever became "Mayhem" in those Allstate commercials, in which he pretty much plays Dennis ruining cars and homes instead of Liz Lemon's love life. Sure, he had a long list of acting credits before he joined "30 Rock," but this show really put him on our radar, and who knows if he would ever become the Allstate guy if he hadn't played the beeper king first?
