1. Actor in a Drama: Kevin Spacey, "House of Cards"
The last time Kevin Spacey appeared on television in a regular role was in 1998's "Wiseguy," where he delivered a star-making turn as villain Mel Profitt in season two. He returned to the small screen in a big way this year, as scorned U.S. Representative Francis J. Underhanded--er, Underwood. But it's not his first Emmy nod; he earned one for lead actor in a TV movie/miniseries in 2008 for another political tale, "Recount."
